Generate interfaces without development.
One of our favourite clients has got quite a knack for controlling large scale machines. Think flight simulators, huge robots or agriculture machinery. A complicated process wich involves a lot of interaction between the digital and mechanical world. Somewhere a long the line though there’s always the interface with humans and that’s where we come along.
Since every machine is different we developed a Photoshop-like application. The engineers use it to drag components to the artboard and bind them to realtime data to control the machines. Once done hit the publish button and marvel at the beautiful and incredibly time saving result!
Developing a big application like this is what we love best. The app communicates via websockets with a controller serving up to 4000 realtime parameters. We used Protobuf for message compression and Vuex for our local data store. The application can be used to control machines from all walks of life. Next to controlling reporting will be the next step. Imagine all the data these machines will reveal and how analysis can give great insight in for example power use optimisation.
