Setting the mood,

for others.

When we started this project we looked around and saw a lot of websites that tailored restaurants. We noticed that a lot of these websites focus solely on communicating information about the restaurant.

We thought that going for diner (or lunch for that matter) was a combination of several elements. You want to know what you’d be paying (and be eating), you want to know how it feels and you want to know how to contact them.

We started our project and created a website that did all those 3 things. So when we started with Ambiance we focussed on delivering a smooth website that blends communication with mood.

Changing markets

While most of our projects are tailored-fit and have very clear boundaries, this theme did not. We started out by designing a website that had a single goal, creating a mood. We wanted to offer the people who buy this theme the an easy an fun way to do this.

During the project we learned that tailoring for a big market means a lot of feature requests. Deciding upon which are custom work and which are lacking core features of our product proved to be quite a challenge.

Our goal was to create something different, approach it from a different angle and allow people to enjoy the product. We’re still trying to do that, every day.

We have a lot of fun meeting to new people who have bought our theme and are really impressed by some of the implementations we’ve seen pass by.
